Pingwe

Pingwe is a village on the Tanzanian island of Unguja, part of Zanzibar. It is one of two villages located in the east of the island at the northern tip of Michamvi Peninsula. It lies immediately to the east of the village of Kae.

Chwaka Bay

Chwaka Bay is a large indentation in the central east coast of the Tanzanian island of Unguja - the largest island of the Zanzibar Archipelago. The bay contains several small islands, and the towns of Chwaka and Kae are situated on its coast. The southwest corner of the bay forms part of the Jozani-Chwaka Bay National Park.

Bwejuu

Bwejuu is a village on the Tanzanian island of Unguja, part of Zanzibar. It is located in the southeast of the island, on the east coast immediately south of the Michamvi Peninsula and the open, beach-rich district known as Dongwe. The larger town of Jambiani lies seven kilometres to the south.

Uroa

Uroa is a small coastal village on central eastern Unguja (Zanzibar Island), in Tanzania. It is located in Uroa Bay, near to Kiwengwa. Villagers mostly live on fishing and seaweed farming; tourism is also developing in the area, although to a lesser extent than on the south-eastern coast around Jambiani.

Paje, Zanzibar

Paje is a village on the Tanzanian island of Unguja, part of Zanzibar. It is located on the southeast coast between the villages of Bwejuu and Jambiani. The lagoon is one of the best places in the world to learn kiteboarding. The first reason is that a very consistent side-onshore wind is blowing most of the year. The second reason is that the lagoon is shallow during low tide and has a sandy bottom. Lastly, the reef protects the lagoon from waves.
