Sukhothai (town)

Sukhothai is a small modern town about 427 km north of Bangkok on the River Yom, a tributary of the Chao Phraya River. The population is 37,000. The town is located 12 km to the east of the historic city of Sukhothai. This city was the capital of the first Thai kingdom, usually called the Sukhothai Kingdom, hence the modern city is often called New Sukhothai. Naresuan University

Naresuan University is a government sponsored university in Phitsanulok, northern Thailand. It was established as a separate university on July 29, 1990, which was the 400th anniversary of the start of the reign of Phitsanulok-born King Naresuan the Great. A courtyard with a statue of King Naresuan is located on the grounds and the students regularly pay their respects before it. The university has about 20,000 full time students.

The Faculty of Medicine, Naresuan University is a medical school located in Phitsanulok, Thailand.
