Kiev Chaika Airfield

Kiev Chaika Airfield (Ukrainian: Аеродром „Київ Чайка”, also given as Kiev West) is an airport in Ukraine located in Petropavlivs'ka Borshchahivka, about 15 km (9 mi) west of Kiev. It is a general aviation airfield with Antonov An-2, An-28, and other single-engine aircraft. There is a paved 150 x 45 m tarmac ramp. Pope John Paul II used the facility for an open-air mass in 2001.

Borshchahivka

Borshchahívka is a neighbourhood located to the west and south-west of Kiev, Ukraine. It is part of the Svyatoshyn district of Kyiv. The neighbourhood is named after a large village that was founded at the site. The contemporary urban look comes from the 1960s and 1970s. The neighbourhood is divided into two sections: Mykilska and Pivdenna (South) Borshchahivka. A village named Petropavlivska Borschahivka also exists nearby, but it does not belong to Kyiv.

Zhytomyrska (Kiev Metro)

Zhytomyrska is a Kiev Metro station on Sviatoshynsko-Brovarska Line. The station was opened on the 24th May 2003 as part of the westward extension of the Sviatoshynsky radius along with its neighbour Akademmistechko. Designed by the architects V. Gnevyshev, T. Tselikovskaya and N. Aleshkin, the station was the first on the line to be built to a single-vault design "walls in earth", i.e.

Akademmistechko (Kiev Metro)

Akademmistechko is a station on Kiev Metro's Sviatoshynsko-Brovarska Line. The station is the western terminus of the line and was opened on May 24, 2003 as part of the western extension of the Sviatoshynsky radius. The station is a bi-level pillar-trispan, with two balconies on the top level. Named after the nearby laboratories (literally Academical town) of the Ukrainian Academy of Sciences, and test centres, the station's design (Architects V. Gnevyshev, T. Tselikovskaya, N. Aleshkin and S.

Sviatoshyn (Kiev Metro)

Sviatoshyn is a station on Kiev Metro's Sviatoshynsko-Brovarska Line. The station was opened on November 5, 1971, and is named after Kiev's Sviatoshyn neighborhood. It was designed by H.V. Holovko, N.S. Kolomiiets, and M.M. Syrkin. The station was formerly known as Sviatoshyno. The station is shallow underground, along with the Beresteiska and the Nyvky stations, which are the first stations of the Kiev Metro system that are not lain deep underground.
