Aidar River

The Aidar is a river of the Luhansk Oblast, Ukraine and Belgorod Oblast, Russia. A left tributary of the Seversky Donets, it flows for 256 km and has a basin area of 7370 km ². The slopes of the valley are partitioned with ravines and gorges. In the spring, snow melt accounts for approximately 70% of the flow . The average flow module is 1.7 liters • sec / km ². The river freezes in December.

Shchastia

Schastia is a city in Luhansk Oblast of Ukraine. Population is 13,770 (2001). North of Schastia, there is Luhanskaya GRES, Russian: Луганская ГРЭС) a large powerplant built in the 1950s. Town Schastia is stand on the river Seversky Donets. Memorial for the victims killed by OUN-UPA (Luhansk)

The monument dedicated to the "Luhansk victims of the OUN-UPA" is a statue located in Luhansk, Ukraine. The monument was unveiled in 2010 under the direction of city deputy Arsen Klinchaev and in association with the Party of Regions in a park in the center of Luhansk. The monument is adjacent to the Soviet memorial to the World War II underground resistance group, The Young Guard. The monument has been described as provocative and a distortion of history.
