Wilson, Leicestershire

Wilson, in the English county of Leicestershire, is a small hamlet just outside of Melbourne, Derbyshire. Close to East Midlands Airport, Wilson retains many 'village-like' features. It has one pub, the Bulls Head. Wilson has no amenities other than a golf course, gym and swimming pool. Its name is first recorded in the 12th century as Wiuelestunia and likely came from Anglo-Saxon Wifeles tūn = "Wifel's farmstead or village".

A453 road

The A453 road was formerly the main trunk road connecting the English cities of Nottingham and Birmingham. However, the middle section of this mainly single-carriageway road has largely been downgraded to B roads or unclassified roads following the construction of the parallel M42-A42 link around 1990. The M42 was originally meant to pass further north than it does, and to join the M1 at Sandiacre in Derbyshire.

Melbourne Hall

Melbourne Hall, Derbyshire, England was once the seat of the Victorian Prime Minister William Lamb, 2nd Viscount Melbourne, and thus is the ultimate origin for the naming of Melbourne, Australia. The house is now the seat of Lord Ralph Kerr and Lady Kerr and is open to the public. The house is a Grade II* listed building; more than twenty features in the grounds are Grade I listed.

Download Festival

The Download Festival is a three-day rock music festival held annually at Donington Park, England (which hosted Monsters of Rock between 1980 and 1996, and 2002s Ozzfest). It usually takes place in June (although in 2003, the first day of the festival took place on the last day of May). The festival is owned and managed by Live Nation.
