Flixton House

Flixton House was built in 1806 by the Wright family, who had become wealthy land owners in Flixton. Flixton House would probably have been quite unremarkable in a national context had Ralph Wright in 1826 not closed several footpaths across his estate, footpaths that the public had until then been allowed access to. In response to the closure of those footpaths the people of Flixton initiated and funded a court case against Ralph Wright, one of the first footpath battles in England.

Urmston

Urmston Listen/ˈɜrmstən/ is a town within the Metropolitan Borough of Trafford, in Greater Manchester, England, with a population of around 41,000. Historically in Lancashire, it lies about six miles (10 km) to the southwest of Manchester city centre. The southern boundary is marked by the River Mersey and the Mersey Valley, with Stretford lying to the east and Flixton to the west. Davyhulme lies to the north of the town centre. Urmston covers an area of 4,799 acres (19 km²).

Trafford Training Centre

The Trafford Training Centre, often referred to simply as Carrington, is the training ground and Academy base of English football club Manchester United. It is located in the village of Carrington in Greater Manchester. The main building was officially opened on 26 July 2000, six months after the first team's first training session at the complex, followed in 2002 by the Academy building, home to Manchester United's youth teams. The centre replaced The Cliff as the club's training ground.

St George's Church, Carrington

St George's Church, Carrington, is in the village of Carrington, Trafford, Greater Manchester, England. It is designated by English Heritage as a Grade II* listed building, but is now redundant and in the care of the Churches Conservation Trust. It stands in a relatively isolated position south of the Manchester Ship Canal, along the northern edge of the Carrington Moss industrial estate.

Flixton Girls' School

Flixton Girls' School (formerly Flixton Girls' High School) is a secondary school and specialist Sports College with academy status in the borough of Trafford in Greater Manchester. It admits girls of all abilities aged 11-16 with a new sixth form for girls opening in September 2013 delivered in partnership with Trafford College.
