Birtsmorton Court is a medieval moated manor house near Malvern in Worcestershire, in the former woodlands of Malvern Chase. The English place name element birt-, which often signifies the birches such as grow in this low-lying site, in this particular case may be a transformation of de Brute, holding the manor under Edward I.

British Camp

The British Camp is an Iron Age hill fort located at the top of Herefordshire Beacon in the Malvern Hills. The hillfort is protected as a Scheduled Ancient Monument and is owned and maintained by Malvern Hills Conservators. The fort is thought to have been first constructed in the 2nd century BC. A Norman castle was built on the site. The extensive earthworks remain clearly visible today and determine the shape of the hill. The height of the summit of British Camp is 1,110 feet.

Herefordshire Beacon

The Herefordshire Beacon is one of the hills of the Malvern Hills. The name Malvern of the nearby town is probably derived from the Welsh moel fryn or "bare hill". It is 1,109 feet high, although the Victorian era inscription at the foot of the hill puts its height at 1,145 feet . It is surrounded by a British Iron Age hill fort earthwork known as British Camp. The boundary between Herefordshire and Worcestershire is about 100 metres east of the summit.

Bronsil Castle

Bronsil Castle was a fortified manor house about 1 mile to the east of Eastnor in Herefordshire, England near Ledbury. The first record of Bronsil Castle is around 1240 but no description of the structure at that time is given. In 1449 and again in 1460 Richard Beauchamp, Treasurer to Henry VI, was given licence to crenellate his house on the site. In 1644 during the Civil War it was taken by the Roundheads and then burnt.
