Nymet Rowland

Nymet Rowland is a small village, and parish of the same name, in central Devon, England, north of Dartmoor. It takes part of its name from "Nymet", the old name for the nearby River Yeo. It is located just to the west of Lapford and south of Nymet Bridge, within the Mid Devon local authority area. Historically it formed part of Winkleigh Hundred; today the North Tawton hundred. It falls within the Chulmleigh Deanery for ecclesiastical purposes.

Brushford, Devon

Brushford is a village and civil parish in the Mid Devon district of Devon in England. According to the 2001 census it had a population of 59. The village is situated on the River Taw, and is about 12 miles north-east of Okehampton. The church has a Norman Doorway, 16th century screen and Jacobean Pulpit. Eastington, Devon

Eastington is a hamlet in the English county of Devon. Eastington is about one mile east of the village of Lapford. The hamlet comprises a dairy farm and a racing stables as well as several private residences. It is not a very exciting place, except for the vertical axis wind turbine recently erected in the field adjacent to Redgate House.

Bondleigh

Bondleigh is a village and civil parish in the West Devon district of Devon, England, on the River Taw, north of North Tawton. According to the 2001 census it had a population of 123. The church, though 15th century, has traces of a Norman window above the chancel, as well as other Norman features: carved stones in the walls, the baptismal font and a tympanum. There are old bench-ends, and 15th century glass. In the churchyard is the shaft of its ancient cross, possibly once a megalith.
