East Suffolk

East Suffolk, along with West Suffolk, was created in 1888 as an administrative county of England. The administrative county was based on the eastern quarter sessions division of Suffolk. East Suffolk County Council's headquarters were at East Suffolk County Hall in Ipswich, which was a county borough in its own right. East Suffolk was abolished in 1974 when most of the county was merged with West Suffolk and the county borough of Ipswich to form the non-metropolitan county of Suffolk.

Monk Soham

Monk Soham is a village and civil parish in the English county of Suffolk, four miles north east of Debenham and six miles north west of Framlingham. In 1868, the parish was recorded as "wholly agricultural". Claude Morley, the English antiquary and entomologist, lived in Monk Soham House. St Peter's Church has a notable Seven Sacrament font.

High House Meadows, Monewden

High House Meadows, Monewden is a Site of Special Scientific Interest in Monewden, Suffolk, UK. The site comprises 8 acres of unimproved grassland. It was last surveyed c. 1995, when, according to the warden, more than 150 species of plant were recorded.

Loes Hundred

Loes was a hundred of Suffolk, with an area of 31,321 acres . Loes Hundred was long and thin in shape, around 15 miles long and between 2 and 6 miles wide. It followed the course of the River Deben from Cretingham to Ufford where it crossed Wilford Hundred to Woodbridge where it widened considerably. The town and port of Woodbridge fell within the hundred but was detached from the main part by about three miles (5 km).

Framlingham railway station

Framlingham railway station was located in Framlingham, Suffolk, UK and was the terminus station on the Framlingham Branch. It opened in 1859 and closed to passengers in 1952, and to freight in 1963. The station was served by trains that operated between Framlingham and Wickham Market operated by the Great Eastern Railway until 1922, the London and North Eastern Railway (1923 and 1947) and British Railways until the withdrawal of passenger services in November 1952.
