RAF Finningley

Royal Air Force Station Finningley or RAF Finningley is a former Royal Air Force station at Finningley, South Yorkshire, England, partly within the traditional county boundaries of Nottinghamshire and partly in the West Riding of Yorkshire, now wholly within the Metropolitan Borough of Doncaster. RAF Finningley was decommissioned in 1996. The airfield has been now developed into an international airport named Robin Hood Airport Doncaster Sheffield, which opened on 28 April 2005.

A6182 road

The A6182, or White Rose Way, is a dual carriageway that runs north from junction 3 of the M18 to approximately two miles away from Doncaster town centre. The road's purpose is to link the town centre with the M18, from which drivers can reach the A1 and M1. Due to the nature of the road, a large number of industrial estates line the A6182, as well as the Lakeside Village and the main Royal Mail sorting office for Doncaster and most of East Yorkshire.
