St Michael Penkevil

St Michael Penkevil, sometimes spelt St Michael Penkivel, is a civil parish and village in Cornwall, England, United Kingdom. It is in the valley of the River Fal about three miles (5 km) southeast of Truro. St Michael Penkevil lies within the Cornwall Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB). Almost a third of Cornwall has AONB designation, with the same status and protection as a National Park.

Tregothnan

The Tregothnan Estate is located beside the village of St Michael Penkivel 3 miles south-east of Truro in Cornwall, England. The house and estate is the historic seat of the Boscawen family, Viscounts Falmouth. The original mediaeval house was sacked in the 17th century during the Civil War. The new house has the date 1652 carved in stone above the side gate. It was enlarged in the early 19th century to the designs of William Wilkins, the architect of the National Gallery in London.

Old Kea

Old Kea is a hamlet in Cornwall, England, United Kingdom. It is situated on the west bank of the Truro River approximately two miles (3 km) south of Truro. This and the nearby village of Kea are said to have been named after the Saint Kea who arrived at Old Kea from Ireland in the 5th century. There is mention in the Domesday Book of a monastery at this location. Only the tower remains of the original parish church which stood at Old Kea.
