Billesdon Rural District

Billesdon was a rural district of Leicestershire, England. It originates with the Billesdon Poor Law Union, formed in 1835. In 1894 the area became a rural district. It was named for the village of Billesdon. 1935 saw the rural district decreased by the annexing of Humberstone, most of Evington, and some of Thurnby civil parishes to Leicester (with some small parts going to Oadby in 1936).

Tilton railway station

Tilton railway station was a railway station serving the village of Tilton on the Hill, Leicestershire. It was also the railhead for Skeffington and Owston. The station was 1.3 miles east of Tilton on the road to Oakham. It was 1.7 miles from Owston and 2.3 miles from Skeffington by public footpath, but longer by road. on the Great Northern and London and North Western Joint Railway. It opened in 1879 and closed in 1953. To the north of the station was Marefield Junction.

Goadby

Goadby is a village and civil parish in the Harborough district of Leicestershire, England, about 8 miles north of Market Harborough. According to the 2001 census it had a population of 43. Goadby has a Church of England Parish church, St John the Baptist, which is of 13th-Century origin. The church was extensively renovated in the 19th Century. Services are held on the first Sunday of every month. The church is part of a group of churches ministered to from Billesdon.

Marefield Junction

Marefield Junction was a railway junction in Marefield, Leicestershire, England. Railway lines from the triangular junction ran westwards to Leicester, northwards to Nottingham and south to Market Harborough. There was never a station at this location, but just to the north was John O' Gaunt railway station; just to the south was Tilton railway station, and just to the west was Lowesby railway station.
