Kyme Priory

Kyme Priory was a priory in South Kyme, Lincolnshire, England. The Augustinian Priory of Kyme was founded by Philip of Kyme, steward to Gilbert Earl of Lincoln, before 1169, in honour of the Blessed Mary, for about twelve Canons. In 1377 Bishop Bokyngham held a visitation, and he found the canons were in the habit of serving their appropriate churches in person, and not by means of secular vicars, and their community life had suffered in consequence.

Asgarby and Howell

Asgarby and Howell is a civil parish in the North Kesteven district of Lincolnshire, England, consisting of the villages of Asgarby and Howell. According to the 2001 census it had a population of 69. The parish contains historical features such as St. Oswald's church, originating from the 14th century. In 1870-72, John Marius described Asgarby and Howell as: "ASGARBY, a parish in Sleaford district, Lincoln; adjacent to the Boston and Grantham railway, 3 miles E of Sleaford.
