Worsley Navigable Levels

The Worsley Navigable Levels are an extensive series of coal mines in Worsley in the City of Salford in Greater Manchester, England. They were worked largely by the use of underground canals (the navigable levels) and boats called starvationers. Coal getting is known in the area from as early as 1376 but large-scale development was left until the tenure of Francis Egerton, 3rd Duke of Bridgewater.

St Mark's Church, Worsley

St Mark’s Church, Worsley, is an Anglican parish church in Salford, Greater Manchester, England. It is built on a prominent 10-acre site formerly known as Cross Field and is a significant local landmark; it is now also a point of reference to the many who pass it on the M60 motorway, which bisects the parish. Its history is bound up with the emergence of Worsley as a cradle of the Industrial Revolution, at the hands of the Egerton family.

Worsley and Eccles South is a county constituency represented in the House of Commons of the Parliament of the United Kingdom. It elects one Member of Parliament (MP) by the first past the post system of election. It is favourable mostly to the Labour Party, though it does contain two of the Conservatives' strongest wards in the City of Salford (Worsley, Boothstown and Ellenbrook). Moorside High School

Moorside High School established in 1934 is a specialist secondary school in Mathematics and Computing located in Swinton, near Manchester, England. It is located on the East Lancashire Road, a dual carriageway. It is about a 15-minute walk from Swinton town centre and Swinton Shopping Centre or a five-minute drive. Under the recent government plan the school was to merge with The Swinton Academy, however the merger will not go ahead, instead a new school will be built.

Patricroft railway station

Patricroft railway station serves the Patricroft district of Eccles, a town within the City of Salford, in Greater Manchester, England. The station is located on Green Lane, Patricroft just north of the junction with Cromwell Road. It is unstaffed and passengers must buy their tickets on the train.
