A832 road

The A832 is a road in the Scottish Highlands, linking Cromarty, on the east coast, to Gairloch on the west coast, and beyond Gairloch to Braemore Junction. It is 126 miles long and runs entirely in the former county of Ross and Cromarty. The road forms part of the Wester Ross Coastal Trail.

Rogie Falls

Rogie Falls are a series of waterfalls on the Black Water, a river in Ross-shire in the Highlands of Scotland. The falls are about 2 km north-west of the village of Contin, next to the A835 road. They are a popular tourist attraction, with several forest walks. The bridge will support a maximum of five persons at one time, with a narrow and sharp set of steps at its end.

Contin Island

Contin Island is an inhabited riverine islet in Ross and Cromarty within the Highland Council area of Scotland. Located in the Black Water, a tributary of the River Conon, it is 2 kilometres downstream from Rogie Falls and is connected to the village of Contin by both a road bridge and a footbridge.

Ben Wyvis

Ben Wyvis is a mountain located in Easter Ross, Ross and Cromarty, Highland, in northern Scotland, north-west of Dingwall. It forms an undulating ridge running roughly north-south for about 5 km, the highest summit of which is Glas Leathad Mòr. Geologically, the ridge is composed of Moine pelitic gneiss.

River Orrin

The River Orrin is a river in former Ross-shire, Highland, northern Scotland. The River Orrin is dammed in Glen Orrin making the Orrin Reservoir. It later forms the Falls of Orrin, is joined by the tributary Allt Goibhre, and then enters the River Conon near Urray shortly before it flows past Conon Bridge into the Cromarty Firth. The river gives its name to the aircraft in the 1985 British Airtours Flight 28M accident in which 55 passengers perished at Manchester Airport.
