A836 road
The A836 road is entirely within the Highland area of Scotland, and 129 miles (208 km) long. It branches from the A9 near Tain and runs generally north through Bonar Bridge and Lairg, until Tongue. Between Lairg and Tongue the road is single track for 38 miles (61 km). At Tongue the road turns east, following the north coast, passing through Thurso, and eventually ending at John o' Groats, where it meets the A99.

Loch Loyal
Loch Loyal is a freshwater Scottish loch, located near Lairg in Sutherland, in the northern Highlands. Loch loyal ranges about four miles (6.4km) long by about one half (0.08km) wide, and drops to a depth of two hundred feet (61m). The Loch flows north through Loch Craggie and Loch Slaim into the River Borgie. Loch Loyal is surrounded by mountain ranges that include Beinn Stumanadh, Ben Hiel, and Cnoc nan Cuilean. Brora and Golspie are two towns that are close to Loch Loyal.

Ben Klibreck
Ben Klibreck is a Scottish mountain located in central Sutherland. It is an isolated hill, rising above a large area of moorland. The highest point, Meall nan Con, rises to 962 m (3165 ft) and is therefore the second most northerly Munro after Ben Hope. The western side of the hill is a fairly uniform steep, heathery slope, while the eastern side has a series of large, grassy corries and has been described as having more character. Numerous ascents of Ben Klibreck are possible.

Ben Loyal
Ben Loyal is an isolated mountain of 764 m in Sutherland, the northwestern tip of the Scottish Highlands. It is a Corbett located south of the Kyle of Tongue, and provides good views of the Kyle, Loch Loyal to the east, and Ben Hope to the west. Ben Loyal is composed chiefly of granite, and has a distinctive shape due to the four rocky peaks, the highest of which is called An Caisteal.
