Fir Bhreige

Na Fir Bhreige (which can be translated from Gaelic into English as "The False Men") is a set of three standing stones on the Isle of North Uist in the Outer Hebrides. They lie on the northwestern slope of Blashaval. The stones are set in a line that runs WNW to ESE, nearly in alignment with the peaks of Blashaval and Maari. They protrude 0.7m, 0.5m, and 0.6m above the peat, although they are probably embedded very deeply and stood much higher when originally erected.

Ceallasaigh Mòr

Ceallasaigh Mòr (or Keallasay More) is a low-lying island in Loch Maddy off North Uist in the Outer Hebrides of Scotland. This an area of shallow lagoons filled and drained by the tides each day. Ceallasaigh Beag lies to the south and these two islets are connected by a narrow strip of sand at low tide. Ceallasaigh Mòr may also join mainland North Uist near Bràigh Cheallasaigh at some stages of the tide.

Newtonferry

Newtonferry is a small crofting community on the island of North Uist in the Western Isles of Scotland, at the end of the B893 road. A number of archaeological sites have been discovered in the vicinity. A ferry used to run between Newtonferry and the neighboring island of Berneray, but no longer runs since a permanent causeway was constructed between Berneray and North Uist.

Ceallasaigh Beag

Ceallasaigh Beag (or Keallasay Beg) is a low-lying island in Loch Maddy off North Uist in the Outer Hebrides of Scotland. This an area of shallow lagoons filled and drained by the tides each day. Ceallasaigh Mòr lies to the south and these two islets are connected by a narrow strip of sand during some low tides. The area is c. 46 hectares as measured from Ordnance Survey maps at high tide.
