Loch Ruthven

Loch Ruthven is a large loch which lies to the southeast of Loch Ness in the Highland region of Scotland. It is 2.25 miles long, extends over an area of 368 acres and is up to 42 ft deep. The most important breeding site in the UK for Slavonian Grebes, it has one of the highest populations of this species in Europe. These rare birds can also be found in several other local lochs. The RSPB has established a reserve at Loch Ruthven. Loch Ruthven was designated a Ramsar site on August 31, 1992.

Dunmaglass, Scotland

Dunmaglass is a shooting estate of about 14,000 acres in the Monadhliath Mountains of Scotland. It is located around 15 miles south of Inverness. It is currently owned by property developer Sir Jack Arnold Hayward, former chairman of Wolverhampton Wanderers F.C. Dunmaglass is known for shooting of pheasant, grouse, duck and sometimes hare. Dunmaglass is also the historical seat of Clan MacGillivray.

Loch Duntelchaig

Loch Duntelchaig (from the Scottish Gaelic Loch Dun Seilcheig) is a loch in the traditional county of Inverness-shire in the Scottish Highlands. It extends 5 km from the southwest to its outflow in the northeast and measures up to 1.75 km at its widest. The loch drains via Loch a Chlachain into the River Nairn. Loch Duntelchaig is over 60m deep towards its south end. It is also the main reservoir for Inverness sitting less than a kilometre from the secondary reservoir Loch Ashie.

The Artist's Cottage project

The Artist's Cottage project is the realisation of three unexecuted designs by Scottish architect Charles Rennie Mackintosh (CRM). In 1901, Mackintosh produced two speculative drawings, An Artist's Cottage and Studio and A Town House for an Artist. He also drew three preliminary sketches titled, Gate Lodge, Auchinbothie, Kilmalcolm, and the final drawing for the completed building.
