Cemmes Road railway station

Cemmes Road railway station was a railway station on the Newtown and Machynlleth Railway (N&MR) in Mid-Wales, serving the village of Cemmaes Road. The N&MR, after crossing the River Severn and crossing through the Cambrian Mountains through the Talerddig cutting, junctioned with the Mawddwy Railway at the village of Cemmaes Road. It then proceeded to Machynlleth.

Afon Twymyn

The River Twymyn (Afon Twymyn in Welsh) is a river in Powys, Mid Wales. From its source at the 40-metre high Ffrwd Fawr waterfall and head of the Pennant Valley near Dylife the river flows through Llanbrynmair before joining the River Dyfi upstream of Cemmaes Road.

Aberangell

Aberangell is a village in Gwynedd, Wales. It stands at the confluence of the River Angell and the River Dyfi. Aberangell railway station was on the Mawddwy Railway. It was also the terminus of the narrow gauge Hendre-Ddu Tramway. Royal Mail announced the closure of Aberangell post office in October 2008. In 1993 and 2008 Aberangell won Calor Village of the Year in Wales.

Aberangell railway station

Aberangell railway station was a railway station on the Cambrian Railways branch which ran from Cemmaes Road to Dinas Mawddy in the Welsh county of Merionethshire. The station was opened by the Mawddwy Railway then closed by that company for ten years in the early 20th century. The station was the contact point between the branch and the Hendre-Ddu Tramway.
