Cefn-cerig Road
Cefn-cerig Road, a road near Cefn-cerig Farm, Llandovery, Wales, is the location of the Global Boundary Stratotype Section and Point (GSSP) which marks the boundary between the Aeronian and Telychian stages of the Silurian period on the geologic time scale. The GSSP was ratified in 1984. The boundary is defined as a point immediately above the highest record of the brachiopod Eocoelia intermedia and below the first appearance of the succeeding species Eocoelia curtisi.

Afon Gwydderig
The River Gwydderig or Afon Gwydderig in Welsh is a tributary of the River Bran . It rises as the Nant Gwydderig on the southern slopes of Mynydd Bwlch-y-groes, about 3 miles North of the small village of Llywel, Powys. The A40 runs next to the river from Llywel as far as Llandovery, Carmarthenshire. The Gwydderig crosses the boundary between Powys and Carmarthenshire at the village of Halfway.

Llandovery Castle
Llandovery Castle is a castle ruin in the town of Llandovery in Carmarthenshire, Wales. It occupies a hilltop overlooking the River Towy and the land surrounding it. The Normans began construction of the castle in 1116, and shortly thereafter stopped. It was attacked and partially destroyed by Welsh forces under Gruffydd ap Rhys. The castle remained in Norman hands until 1158, when Rhys ap Gruffydd, youngest son of Gruffydd ap Rhys, seized the castle from its owner.

Llandovery railway station
Llandovery railway station serves the market town of Llandovery, Carmarthenshire, Wales. The station is on the Heart of Wales Line 42 miles north east of Swansea and is located at Tywi Avenue. It was opened by the independent Vale of Towy Railway company in 1858 as the terminus of a branch from Llandeilo, although the VoTR was soon leased by the Llanelly Railway (which had built the route northwards from Llanelli in stages between 1833 and 1852).

Llanfair-ar-y-bryn
Llanfair-ar-y-bryn is a community located on the A483 just north of Llandovery in Carmarthenshire, Wales. The Llanfair-ar-y-bryn church stands on the Alabum site, a Roman auxiliary fort, and was the parish church until 1883. William Williams Pantycelyn who is generally acknowledged as Wales's most important hymn writer is buried in the Churchyard.
