The city is located next to the county seat, Santa Ana, and does not include North Tustin. Because of a top 10% ranking in per capita and one of the shortest commutes in Southern California, the city was chosen in 2009 by Forbes as one of the top 25 towns to live well in America.

Santa Ana Zoo

The Santa Ana Zoo at Prentice Park in Santa Ana, California is a 20-acre zoo focusing on the animals and plants of Central and South America. The Santa Ana Zoo hosts more than 270,000 people annually. The zoo opened in 1952 and is owned and operated by the City of Santa Ana. Joseph Prentice donated land for the zoo with the stipulation that the city must keep at least 50 monkeys at all times, the zoo maintains an extensive primate collection with over a dozen species from around the world.

North Tustin, California

North Tustin is a census-designated place and unincorporated community in Orange County, California. The population was 24,917 at the 2010 census, up from 24,044 at the 2000 census. It is Orange County's largest Census Designated place. It is not located in the city limits of Tustin, using Santa Ana as its proper mailing addresses according to the USPS, and a 92705 ZIP Code. The name was changed from Tustin Foothills in 2005.
