DeLand (Amtrak station)

The DeLand Amtrak station is located several miles west of downtown DeLand, at the location formerly known as DeLand Junction. DeLand Station was originally built in 1918, and stood across from the former Volusia County Fairgrounds. When the Jacksonville, Tampa and Key West Railroad (and later the Atlantic Coast Line Railroad) ran passenger service along the line, they also ran local passenger service to Downtown DeLand.

DeLand is a city in the U.S. state of Florida. It is the county seat of Volusia County. As of the 2010 U.S. Census, the city had a population of 27,031. It is a part of the Deltona–Daytona Beach–Ormond Beach, FL Metropolitan Statistical Area, which was home to 494,804 people as of the 2011 U.S. Census estimates. The city was founded in 1876, and was named for its founder, Henry Addison DeLand.
