Pascagoula, Mississippi

Pascagoula is a city in Jackson County, Mississippi. It is the principal city of the Pascagoula, Mississippi Metropolitan Statistical Area, as a part of the Gulfport–Biloxi–Pascagoula, Mississippi Combined Statistical Area. The population was 26,200 at the 2000 census. It is the county seat of Jackson County. Pascagoula is a major industrial city of Mississippi, along the Gulf Coast. Prior to World War II, the town was a sleepy fishing village of only about 5,000.

Trent Lott International Airport is a county-owned public-use airport located six miles (10 km) north of the central business district of Pascagoula, a city in Jackson County, Mississippi, United States. The airport is named for Trent Lott, the United States Senator from Mississippi. Although most U.S. airports use the same three-letter location identifier for the FAA and IATA, Trent Lott International Airport is assigned PQL by the FAA and PGL by the IATA.

Pascagoula River High Rise Bridge

The Pascagoula River High Rise Bridge is a bridge in the US state of Mississippi which carries U.S. Route 90 over the East Branch of the Pascagoula River between Gautier and Pascagoula. The bridge opened on June 23, 2003 as a replacement for 4-lane drawbridge.
