Kearny High School (New Jersey)

Kearny High School is a four-year comprehensive public high school located in Kearny, New Jersey, and operating as part of the Kearny School District. Construction began on the present school facility began in 1921. Kearny High School opened for the fall semester in September 1923. The school's stadium was completed in 1925. In 1940, an addition costing $400,000 was added.

The Kearny School District is a public school district that provides public education for students from the Town of Kearny, in Hudson County, New Jersey, United States. As of the 2009-10 school year, the district's seven schools had an enrollment of 5,769 students and 436 classroom teachers (on an FTE basis), for a student–teacher ratio of 13.23. The district is classified by the New Jersey Department of Education as being in District Factor Group "B", the second lowest of eight groupings.

Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Newark

Mount Pleasant Cemetery is a large Victorian-era cemetery in Newark's North Ward. It is located on the west bank of the Passaic River in Newark's Broadway neighborhood, opposite Kearny. It occupies approximately 40 acres (162,000 m²) and is widely used as a park. The cemetery is listed on both the New Jersey Register (ID #1284, since 1987) and the National Register of Historic Places (Reference #87000836, since 1988).

Woodside Township, New Jersey

Woodside was a township that existed in Essex County, New Jersey, United States, from 1869 to 1871. Woodside was incorporated as a township by an Act of the New Jersey Legislature on March 24, 1869, from portions of Belleville Township. On April 5, 1871, almost two weeks after its second anniversary, the township was dissolved, and its territory was absorbed by Belleville and Newark.
