KARS (AM)

KARS is a radio station licensed to Belen, New Mexico, USA, which also serves the Albuquerque area although the signal can be a bit weak there during daytime hours and is even harder (but not impossible) to hear at night due to its transmitter being located near Belen about 40 miles south of Albuquerque and using low levels of power. The station is currently owned by American General Media.

KBNM-LP (98.7 FM, "Eagle 98") is a low-powered FM radio station based in Belen, New Mexico broadcasting at 100 watts. KBNM airs an oldies music format. It is owned by Tix For Kids, a non-profit group that raises money to buy tickets to concerts and other events for sick children. KBNM streams its signal over the internet from its website. It also broadcasts to Albuquerque on translator K251AU 98.1 FM.

Belen (Rail Runner station)

Belen is the southern terminus of the New Mexico Rail Runner Express commuter rail line, located in the center of the town of Belen, New Mexico, near the intersection of Reinken Avenue and Wisconsin Street. It serves residents of Belen and surrounding communities in Valencia County, New Mexico. The station began service on February 2, 2007 as the fifth station on the line. Passengers can connect to shuttles serving Belen, Rio Communities, and Socorro.

Belen, New Mexico

Belen is a city in Valencia County, New Mexico, United States. Belen is Spanish for Bethlehem, and over time has gained the nickname "Hub City" because of the Belen Cutoff of the Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe Railway. The Cutoff made it possible for many more trains to travel east and west across the United States. Prior to the Belen Cutoff, train traffic came through the steep Raton Pass on the Colorado and New Mexico border.
