Dixon, New Mexico

Dixon is an unincorporated village located in Rio Arriba County in the U.S. state of New Mexico, on NM Highway 75, just east of NM Highway 68 in the north-central part of the state, at Latitude 36.20 & Longitude -105.89. The elevation of Dixon is 6028 feet (1837 meters) above sea level . It is on the banks of the Embudo River, a tributary of the Rio Grande, which it flows into two miles (3.2 km) downstream from Dixon.

New Mexico State Road 68

State Road 68 is a 45.5 mi long state highway in northern New Mexico. NM 68 begins in the south in Española at the road's junction with U.S. Route 285 and U.S. Route 84 which run concurrently at that point. The road then runs northeast through Alcalde, Velarde, Embudo, and Ranchos de Taos, where it meets the north end of New Mexico State Road 518, before reaching its northern terminus at U.S. Route 64 in Taos.

Picuris Pueblo, New Mexico

Picuris Pueblo is a census-designated place (CDP) in Taos County, New Mexico, United States. The population was 86 at the 2000 census. The Pueblo people are from the Tiwa ethnic group of Native Americans. Picurís Pueblo is a member of the Eight Northern Pueblos. Picuris village has occupied its present location since around 750 CE. The Picuris people previously lived in an earlier, larger village now known as Pot Creek, near Taos.
