East Hills is a village in Nassau County, New York on the North Shore of Long Island. It is considered part of the Greater Roslyn area, which is anchored by the Village of Roslyn. As of the United States 2010 Census, the village population was 6,955. The Village of East Hills is mostly in the Town of North Hempstead, with a small portion in the Town of Oyster Bay.

Roslyn is a village in Nassau County, New York, on the North Shore of Long Island. As of the United States 2010 Census, the village population was 2,770. Roslyn was once called Hempstead Harbor, but its name changed to Roslyn on September 7, 1844 due to postal confusion regarding all the other "Hempsteads" scattered about Long Island. The Village of Roslyn is at the eastern edge of the Town of North Hempstead.

Greenvale is a hamlet in Nassau County, New York on the North Shore of Long Island. As of the United States 2010 Census, the CDP population was 1,094. It is part of both the Roslyn and North Shore School Districts. Located between Roslyn and Brookville, Greenvale is known as the Long Island Rail Road stop for the C.W. Post Campus of Long Island University and the New York Institute of Technology. The school is located to the east in Brookville, though using the Greenvale postal code.

Clark Botanic Garden
The Clark Botanic Garden (12 acres) is a botanical garden located on Long Island at 193 I. U. Willets Rd, Albertson, New York. It is open to the public 10 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. daily but closed winter weekends; a voluntary donation is requested. The garden was established in 1969 on the former estate of Grenville Clark, a noted attorney, author, and advisor to President Franklin Delano Roosevelt. In 1966, Clark donated his home to the Brooklyn Botanic Garden.
