Angola is a village in Erie County, New York, United States. The population was 2,127 at the 2010 census. The name is reportedly derived from the South-central African country of Angola. It is part of the Buffalo–Niagara Falls Metropolitan Statistical Area. Angola's most famous current resident is Dale Gump, more commonly known as "DG Roller" of the PBA(Professional Bowlers Association). He also goes by the "Turtle" due to his resemblance to a turtle and his green car.
