The Hosensack Creek flows from the northeast into the Perkiomen Creek in the village. Palm is the site of one of the five remaining Schwenkfelder Churches in the United States.

Apocryphal history relates that these towns consided merging around the early 1970s and the combined name may have been 'Red Pennsville' or 'East Pennhill'.
