Chalfont is a home rule municipality located in Bucks County, Pennsylvania, United States. The population was 4,009 at the 2010 census. Chalfont is named after Chalfont St Giles in Buckinghamshire, England. Chalfont was the home of William Penn's first wife, and William Penn is buried at Jordans Quaker Meeting House near Chalfont St Giles. The Chalfont Historic District is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and contains many American colonial and Victorian-style houses.

Chalfont is a station along the SEPTA Lansdale/Doylestown Line. It is located at Sunset Avenue & Main Street. Most citizens use this station mainly to get to Philadelphia. New Britain is a station along the SEPTA Lansdale/Doylestown Line. It is located at Tamenend & Matthews Avenues. On December 18, 2011, weekend service was discontinued at this station due to low ridership. In the fall of 2012, New Britain was added back to the weekend schedule as a flag stop. The station continues to have full service on weekdays.
