Bishop is a city in Nueces County, Texas, United States. The population was 3,305 at the 2000 census, but decreased to 3,126 by 2009. Located on U.S. Highway 77 and Farm-to-Market Road 70, Bishop is located just eight miles north of Kingsville and about thirty miles southwest of Corpus Christi.

Javelina Stadium

Javelina Stadium is a stadium in Kingsville, Texas. It is primarily used for American football, and is the home field of Texas A&M University-Kingsville. The stadium holds 15,000 people and opened in 1950. A new scoreboard was installed during the 2006 football season. The scoreboard is the largest scoreboard structure in NCAA Division II and was installed and built by Daktronics. The scoreboard is 36 feet wide and 36 feet tall and stands 12 feet off the ground.
