The Becket Fund for Religious Liberty is a non-profit organization based in Washington, DC that describes itself as "a non-profit, public interest law firm defending the freedom of religion of people of all faiths. " The Becket Fund operates in three arenas: in the courts of law (litigation), in the court of public opinion (media), and in the academy (scholarship). The Becket Fund's stated mission is to "protect the free expression of all religious traditions.

The Cellar Door

The Cellar Door was a music club at 34th and M Street NW in Washington, D.C. from 1965 through 1981. It emerged from The Shadows, Georgetown, Washington, D.C. It was one of the premier music spots in Washington and was the genesis as well as a tryout for larger markets. Many artists cut their professional teeth performing at the Cellar Door, while audiences delighted in being within a few feet of the stage at the tiny venue. Many great names in 1960s and 1970s music played there.

House of Sweden

House of Sweden is a building in Washington, D.C. which houses the diplomatic missions of the Kingdom of Sweden, and the Republic of Iceland to the United States of America. The building is located at 2900 K Street N.W. in the Georgetown neighborhood. Apart from the embassies, the building, which is owned by the National Property Board Sweden, also houses representatives of Swedish commerce.

Tidewater Lock

The Tidewater Lock is a dam in Washington, D.C. to the west of the mouth of Rock Creek at the Potomac River, on the east side of Georgetown. It is sometimes listed as Lock 0 on the Chesapeake and Ohio Canal.
