Budd Inlet

Budd Inlet is the southernmost arm of Puget Sound. The city of Olympia, Washington is located at the southern end of Budd Inlet. A deepwater shipping channel has been dredged providing deep water access to the Port of Olympia which is 25 nautical miles from Tacoma and 50 nautical miles from Seattle. Budd Inlet was named by Charles Wilkes during the United States Exploring Expedition, to honor Thomas A. Budd, who served as acting master of the Peacock and Vincennes.

KBRD is a non-commercial, listener supported radio station broadcasting a Nostalgia format licensed to Lacey, Washington, USA. The station is currently owned by BJ & Skip's For the Music. The foundation is a 501(c)3 organization so donations are tax deductible. It is dedicated to the preservation of the music of the first half of the 20th century. Capitol Theater (Olympia)

The Capitol Theater, at 206 East Fifth Avenue in downtown Olympia, Washington, was built in 1924. It was designed by architect Joseph Wohleb and has a capacity of 2500. The Olympia Film Society operates the theater. The theater suffered major plaster damage to the ceiling during the 2001 Nisqually earthquake, but has since undergone repair and has re-opened. The marquee, a 1940 addition, was removed in January 2008.
