Tinh Bien District

Tịnh Biên is a rural district (huyện) of An Giang Province in the Mekong Delta region of Vietnam. As of 2003 the district had a population of 115,901. The district covers an area of 337 km². The district capital lies at Nha Bang. There is Tịnh Biên frontier market here. Tinh Bien is located about 125 km away from Phnom Penh along the National Highway 2 (CPC). It is a common route used by tourists between Cambodia and Vietnam.

Vĩnh Tế Canal

The Vĩnh Tế Canal (Vietnamese: Kênh Vĩnh Tế) is an 87-kilometre-long canal in southern Vietnam, designed to give the territory of Châu Đốc a direct access to the Hà Tiên sea gate, Gulf of Siam. After the construction of Thoai Ha Canal, Emperor Gia Long of Nguyễn Dynasty ordered the mandarin Nguyen Van Thoai to dig a new canal along the Cambodian–Vietnamese border.

Châu Phú is a rural district (huyện) of An Giang province in the Mekong Delta region of Vietnam. As of 2003, the district had a population of 244,305. The district covers an area of 426 km². The district capital lies at Cái Dầu. There are some festivals here: "Bình Thủy temple worshiping", "Sir Tây An worshiping"... Châu Phú is located 20 km south of Long Xuyên]] and 20 km north of Châu Đốc, the main towns in the province.

Ba Chúc

Ba Chúc is a commune (xã) and village of the Tri Tôn District of An Giang Province, Vietnam. During the Vietnam war, the village came to the attention of Americans when it was revealed in the New York Times that civilians there had been forced by ARVN officers and their American advisers to remove landmines planted by Viet Cong and NVA units.
