Route 628 is a 29.8-kilometre long mostly north-south secondary highway in the eastern portion of New Brunswick, Canada. The route starts at Route 8 in Taymouth where it travels south along the east bank of the Nashwaak River. The road passes through Durham Bridge, Nashwaak and Manzer. From here, the route travels through Penniac and past Penniac Island before it ends as it crosses the Nashwaak River on a bridge to Route 8.

Durham Bridge, New Brunswick

Durham Bridge is a rural settlement in New Brunswick, Canada. It is located approximately 25 km north of the provincial capital of Fredericton on New Brunswick Route 8, where its eponymous bridge crosses the Nashwaak River. Locally there is often a distinction made between Upper and Lower Durham, differentiating the settlement north of the bridge from that south of the bridge.

Penniac, New Brunswick

Penniac is a small rural community in the Canadian province of New Brunswick, located about 10 kilometres northeast of Fredericton. Penniac literally means "fork in the river". The aetiology of the name Penniac is uncertain. There is one church and a recreation centre. There are several farms in the area. Penniac has one main road, "The Penniac Road", and one main stream, "The Penniac Stream". " Both the church and recreation centre are active and important parts of the community.
