Manvers Township

The Township of Manvers (area 69,923 acres) was a municipality in the former Victoria County, now the city of Kawartha Lakes, in the Canadian province of Ontario. From 1792 to 1974 Manvers Township was located in Durham County, which was united with Northumberland County in 1800 for administrative purposes. The township was officially established in 1816 and named in honour of Charles Pierrepont, 1st Earl Manvers.

View Lake, Ontario

View Lake is a small village located in Ontario, Canada. It is situated on the boundary of the Regional Municipality of Durham and the city of Kawartha Lakes, on the southern shores of Lake Scugog. The village was unincorporated in Victoria County prior to the formation of the city of Kawartha Lakes in 2001, and continues to have a very small population. It contains two small parks, and in the past, contained a train stop near its general store.

Fleetwood Kames

The Fleetwood Kames is a 939 hectare provincially significant Earth Science Area of Natural and Scientific Interest in Ontario, Canada. The topographical feature is located on the north slope of the Oak Ridges Moraine, in the city of Kawartha Lakes. Part of the parcel, known as Fleetwood Creek, is owned by the Ontario Heritage Foundation.

Lake Scugog

Lake Scugog is an artificially flooded lake in Scugog Township, Ontario, between the towns of Port Perry and Lindsay. The lake has been raised and lowered several times over its history. Though not technically part of the Kawarthas due to its shallow depths, it is often geographically linked to them. Its sole outflow, the Scugog River, connects to Sturgeon Lake.

Pontypool, Ontario

Pontypool is an unincorporated village within the southernmost part of the amalgamated city of Kawartha Lakes, Ontario. Prior to amalgamation, Pontypool was an unincorporated village within the township of Manvers, in the county of Victoria. It has a convenience store, LCBO, Chinese/Pizza Restaurant, gas station (destroyed by fire in April 2008 which has since been rebuilt), community centre, church and post office and a siding on the Canadian Pacific Railway.
