Abbey of Notre-Dame du Lac (Oka, Quebec)

The Abbey of Notre-Dame du Lac (fr. Abbaye Notre-Dame du Lac), known as the Oka Abbey (fr. Abbaye Cistercienne d'Oka), was a Trappist Cistercian monastery located in Oka, Quebec. The main monastery building is of grey stone and is accompanied by a dozen outbuildings, all of which are situated on a 270 hectare property.

Aberdeen, Grey County, Ontario

Aberdeen is a community in Grey County, Ontario, Canada. Aberdeen consists of a series of houses in a historical Canadian village site. The village is located north of both the Durham Interforest factory and the stretch of Grey Road 4 between Durham and Hanover. The first settlers came to Aberdeen around 1845. Milton C. Schofield built the first mill there on the Rocky Saugeen River in 1851. For a while, the small emerging village was called Scholfield's Mill.

Quebec Autoroute 540 (Vaudreuil-Dorion)

Autoroute 540 (Vaudreuil-Dorion) was a short spur route that connected Autoroute 20 to Autoroute 40, providing a direct freeway link from Windsor, Ontario to Quebec City, Rivière-du-Loup, and points east through A-40, as A-20 currently has several at-grade intersections in Vaudreuil-Dorion as a multi-lane divided road. A-540 was the shortest numbered Autoroute.

Lake of Two Mountains

Lake of Two Mountains is part of the river delta widening of the Ottawa River in Quebec, Canada, where it feeds into the St. Lawrence River. Lake of Two Mountains has four outflows: Rivière des Mille Îles and Rivière des Prairies, bordering Île Jésus, and two branches of the Ottawa River, flowing into the St. Lawrence via Lake Saint-Louis, on either side of Île Perrot. The city of Deux-Montagnes is located on the lake's north shore, where it flows into Rivière des Mille Îles.
