Groulx

Groulx is a provincial electoral district in the Laurentides region of Quebec, Canada that elects members to the National Assembly of Quebec. The district includes part of Blainville, as well as a few other small cities. It was created for the 1981 election from a part of Terrebonne electoral district. In the change from the 2001 to the 2011 electoral map, it gained a small part of the city of Blainville from Blainville electoral district; it did not formerly include any part of that city.

Sainte-Rose, Quebec

Sainte-Rose is a district in Laval, Quebec. It was incorporated as a village in 1850, and was a separate town until the municipal mergers on August 6, 1965 which amalgamated all the municipalities on Île Jésus into a single City of Laval. Ste-Rose is best known for the parish church, erected 1740, which contains a Casavant Frères organ and hosts numerous concerts every year, and for "Vieux Ste-Rose", a charming area known for its attractive old houses and fine restaurants.

Trans-Canada Air Lines Flight 831

Trans-Canada Air Lines (TCA) Flight 831 was a flight from Montreal-Dorval Airport (now Montréal/Trudeau) to Toronto International Airport (now Toronto-Pearson) on November 29, 1963. The aircraft was a four-engine Douglas DC-8-54CF airliner, registered CF-TJN. About five minutes after takeoff in poor weather, the jet crashed about 20 miles north of Montreal, near Ste-Thérèse-de-Blainville, Quebec, Canada, killing all 118 people on board: 111 passengers and 7 crew members.
