Marielyst

Marielyst is a small town and seaside resort some 12 kilometres south of Nykøbing on the Danish island of Falster. Its long sandy beach has led to an extensive summer house development with some 6,000 holiday homes. As of 2012, it has a population of 676.

Væggerløse

Væggerløse is a town some 8 kilometres south of Nykobing Falster on the Danish island of Falster. It has large housing developments and until 2006 was the administrative centre for the now defunct Sydfalster Municipality. As of 2012, it has a population of 1,693. Standing on a hilltop, Væggerløse Church dates from the late Romanesque period. It has early 16th century frescos depicting the Supper at Emmaus.

Væggerløse Church is a Romanesque church in the village of Væggerløse, 7 kilometres south of Nykøbing on the Danish island of Falster. Its early 16th century frescos depict the Supper at Emmaus.

Gedser-Rostock Bridge

The Gedser-Rostock Bridge is a proposed project to link the Danish island Falster with the German city Rostock, stretching 40-45 kilometres (25–28 miles) across the Baltic Sea. The proposal is an alternative to the Fehmarn Belt Fixed Link. The bridge (or tunnel) would complete the European route E55 and be the main link between Scandinavia and Berlin. Today, Gedser and Rostock are linked by the Scandlines ferries who also operate a Fehmarn Belt line.
