Grandselve Abbey

Grandselve Abbey (Abbaye de Notre Dame de Grandselve) was a Cistercian monastery in south-west France, at Bouillac, Tarn-et-Garonne. The original foundation existed from 1114 to the time of the French Revolution. It was one of the most important Cistercian abbeys in the south of France. Iniitially, in 1114, it was a Benedictine foundation set up by Géraud de Sales. It became subject to Clairvaux Abbey in 1144 or 1145.

Save (Garonne)

The Save is a 143 km long river in southern France, left tributary of the Garonne. Its source is in the northern foothills of the Pyrenees, south of Lannemezan. It flows north-east through the following départements and cities: Hautes-Pyrénées. Haute-Garonne: Grenade, L'Isle-en-Dodon. Gers: L'Isle-Jourdain. It flows into the Garonne in Grenade, north of Toulouse. Among its tributaries is the Gesse.

Hers-Mort

The Hers-Mort (the "Dead Hers", as opposed to the faster-flowing Hers-Vif, or "Live Hers") is a 90 km long river in southern France, a right-bank tributary of the Garonne. Its average flow rate is 4 m/s. The Hers-Mort rises in the Lauragais region, near the village Fonters-du-Razès, in the Aude department.

Montech water slope

The Montech water slope is a type of canal inclined plane built on the Canal de Garonne, in the commune of Montech, Tarn-et-Garonne, South West France. It is managed by the publicly owned Voies navigables de France and it replaced a group of five successive locks.
