Cotaxtla is a city in the Mexican state of Veracruz. It is located 45 km from the city of Veracruz on Federal Highway 180. Major products in Cotaxtla are corn, sugar, and fruits. In September 2010, the city suffered widespread damage from Hurriacne Karl which inundated the area with floods up to 12 m deep.

Carrillo Puerto is a municipality in Veracruz, Mexico. It is located in the middle of the State of Veracruz. It has a surface of 246.76 km2. It is located at {{#invoke:Coordinates|coord}}{{#coordinates:18|47|N|96|34|W||| | |name= }}. The municipality of Carrillo Puerto is delimited to the north by Paso del Macho, to the north-east by Soledad de Doblado, to the east by Cotaxtla, to the south-east by Cuichapa and to the west by Cuitláhuac. It produces principally maize and beans.

Remojadas

Remojadas is a name applied to a culture, an archaeological site, as well as an artistic style that flourished on Mexico's Veracruz Gulf Coast from perhaps 100 BCE to 800 CE. The Remojadas culture is considered part of the larger Classic Veracruz culture. Further research into the Remojadas culture is "much needed". The archaeological site has remained largely unexplored since the initial investigations by Alfonso Medellin Zenil in 1949 and 1950.
