Luttelgeest

Luttelgeest is a village in the Dutch province of Flevoland. It is a part of the municipality of Noordoostpolder, and was created in 1950 as one of ten planned villages around the new city of Emmeloord. In 2001, Luttelgeest had 681 inhabitants. The built-up area of the village was 0.16 km², and contained 278 residences.

Baarlo, Steenwijkerland

Baarlo is a small village in the Dutch province of Overijssel. It is located in the municipality Steenwijkerland, about 1 km northwest of the city of Blokzijl. Until the Noordoostpolder was reclaimed, the village lay on the dyke of the IJsselmeer. According to the 19th century historian A.J. van der Aa, it had about 120 inhabitants in the middle of the 19th century. It was also called "Kuinderdijk en Baarlo" then.

Kuinre

Kuinre is a village in the Dutch province of Overijssel. It was a separate municipality until 1973, when it became a part of IJsselham, which in turn merged into the municipality of Steenwijkerland in 2001. Kuinre is a formerly coastal town with a very rich history. Back in the days of the Zuiderzee, Kuinre's harbour was one of the most important ports of the Zuiderzee. After completion of the Noordoostpolder Kuinre became landlocked; companies, shops, and fishermen went out of business.

Nederland, Overijssel

Nederland is a hamlet in the municipality Steenwijkerland in the province Overijssel, Netherlands. It has a population of about 25. 'Nederland' is the Dutch name for the Netherlands. Because of the comical value of the toponym, roadsigns with the name 'Nederland' are stolen frequently. The Dutch beer company Bavaria has used Nederland in a commercial. In the commercial two men are giving away beer in the hamlet. It ends with (in translation): Bavaria, popular throughout Nederland.
