Appleton Roebuck

Appleton Roebuck is a village and civil parish in the Selby district of North Yorkshire, England. It had a population of 692 according to the 2001 census. The village is about 9 miles southwest of York. It covers an area of around 2,900 acres . In February 2000 much of Appleton Roebuck was designated a Conservation Area under Section 69 of the Planning (Listed Buildings and Conservation Areas) Act 1990, and consists of 18th and 19th century buildings.

Bishopthorpe Rural District

Bishopthorpe was a rural district in the West Riding of Yorkshire from 1894 to 1937. It was formed under the Local Government Act 1894 from that part of the York Rural Sanitary District which was in the West Riding. It included the parishes of Acaster Malbis, Askham Richard, Bishopthorpe, Copmanthorpe, Dringhouses Without and Middlethorpe Without. It was abolished in 1937 by a County Review Order.

Tadcaster Albion A.F.C

Tadcaster Albion A.F.C. are an English football club based in Tadcaster, North Yorkshire, formed in 1892. Their ground is situated behind the John Smith's brewery in Tadcaster, thus the reason for their nickname "The Brewers". Currently, they are members of the Northern Counties East Football League Premier Division. They are managed by Paul Marshall who was appointed in May 2008. Marshall is assisted by coaches Mike Morton & Andy Calvert.
