Eccleston Quarry

Eccleston Quarry is a mile south of Eccleston, Lancashire. It is also called Eccleston Delph and Eccy Delph (pronounced "ekky"). It is an old stone quarry that flooded. It is a popular site for scuba diving. Visibility is generally very poor and ropes have been strung between each underwater 'feature' to aid navigation, since traditional compass methods are all but impossible in the murky waters. Though much work has been undertaken to improve visibility in the recent past.

Camelot Theme Park

Camelot Theme Park was a resort and theme park located in the English county of Lancashire (the last operating season was in 2012, the park will not open for 2013). The park´s theme was based on the famous legend of Camelot. It was located on a 140-acre site near the village of Charnock Richard, 3 miles west of Chorley. The site is owned by The Story Group, and was operated by Knights Leisure.

Standish-with-Langtree

Standish-with-Langtree was, and to a limited extent remains, the name of a local government district centred on Standish, Greater Manchester, in North West England. Historically the name applied to an ancient township in the hundred of West Derby and county of Lancashire. This township became a local board of health area in 1872. Following the Local Government Act 1894, Standish-with-Langtree became an urban district of the administrative county of Lancashire.

Euxton Hall Chapel

Euxton Hall Chapel is situated in the village of Euxton, Lancashire, England. It was designed by the famous architect E. W. Pugin (1834-1875), and built in 1866 as a private chapel for the Anderton family. Set within the grounds of Euxton Hall, and a Grade II listed building within its own right, the small Gothic chapel has been described as an architectural gem.
