Ryedale Show

The Ryedale Show is an agricultural show which takes place at the Welburn Park Showground, Welburn, Kirkbymoorside, North Yorkshire in the North of England annually on the last Tuesday of July. It is organised and run by the Ryedale Agricultural Society. In recent years the Ryedale Show has become the largest one-day agricultural show in the north of England.

Kirkdale Cave

Kirkdale Cave is a cave located in Kirkdale near Kirkbymoorside in the Vale of Pickering, North Yorkshire, England. The cave was discovered by workmen in 1821, and was found to contain fossilized bones of a variety of mammals not currently found in Great Britain, including hippopotamus, the farthest north any such remains have ever been found, elephant, and the remains of numerous cave hyenas. William Buckland analyzed the cave and its contents in 1822.

Kirkdale sundial

The Saxon sundial at St Gregory's Minster, Kirkdale, near Kirkbymoorside, North Yorkshire, England is an ancient sundial which dates to the mid 11th century. The panel containing the actual sundial above the church doors is flanked by two panels, bearing a rare inscription in Old English, the language of the Anglo-Saxons.

St Gregory's Minster

St Gregory's Minster is an Anglo-Saxon church with a rare sundial, in Kirkdale near Kirkbymoorside, Vale of Pickering, North Yorkshire, England. It is a Grade I listed building. The minster was built c. 1060 on the site of an earlier church, and is dedicated to St Gregory, who was Pope 590–604.

Great Edstone

Great Edstone is a small village located in the North York Moors, about 30 miles north of York. It sits on an isolated hill close to the River Dove. Great Edstone was a key place for evacuees to stay during World War II, as can be seen in the still remaining village hall. In the 1970s/1980s the school was removed since there were not enough children in the village.
