Castle Craig Hospital

Castle Craig Hospital is a drug and alcohol addictions rehab residential clinic located in the Scottish Borders south of Edinburgh. It is the largest addiction treatment hospital in the UK and since its founding in 1988 it has treated over 10,000 patients. It is based in 50 acres of private parkland near the town of Peebles.

Dolphinton

Dolphinton is a village split between South Lanarkshire and the Scottish Borders, Scotland. It is located 7 miles northeast of Biggar, 11 miles (18 km) northeast of Carstairs, 10 miles (16 km) southwest of Leadburn and 27 miles (43 km) southwest of Edinburgh, on the A702 road. The local manor belonged in the 12th century to Dolfine, elder brother of the first Earl of Dunbar.

Tweeddale

Tweeddale is a committee area and lieutenancy area in the Scottish Borders with a population of 17,394 at the latest census in 2001 it is the second smallest of the 5 committee areas in the Borders. It is the traditional name for the area drained by the upper reaches of the River Tweed. This area was considered to end before the Yarrow Water flowed into the Tweed, so the area was bounded to the south and east by the Yarrow/Tweed watershed, and to the north and east by the Gala/Tweed watershed.
