Orient Beach State Park
Orient Beach State Park is a 363 acre state park located in the Town of Southold in Suffolk County, New York in the USA. The park is at the tip of the North Fork of Long Island. Long Beach, located in the park was designated a National Natural Landmark in April 1980 for its 2.5-mile sand spit beach demonstrating plant succession from salt marsh to maritime red cedar forest. The Orient Long Beach Bar Light commonly known as the Bug lighthouse is located inside the park.

Orient Long Beach Bar Light
Orient Long Beach Bar Light is a lighthouse off Orient, New York. It is interesting because it was originally a screwpile lighthouse that was later converted to concrete caisson foundation. Its early appearance as a screwpile lighhouse gave it the nickname "Bug Light" as there were no other such lighthouses in the vicinity. The Long Beach Bar Light was destroyed in 1963 by fire. A replica was rebuilt (the foundation survived).

WSUF is a radio station licensed to serve Noyack, New York, USA. It is owned by Sacred Heart University. Shelter Island (CDP), New York
Shelter Island is a hamlet and census-designated place (CDP) within the Town of Shelter Island in Suffolk County, New York, United States. The population was 1,333 at the 2010 census. The village of Dering Harbor and the CDP of Shelter Island Heights make up the rest of the town. The community of Shelter Island is at the eastern end of Long Island and is reachable only by ferry. Many of the properties are owned by wealthy New York City residents who use the island as a weekend retreat.

Gardiners Bay
Gardiners Bay is a small arm of the Atlantic Ocean, approximately 10 mi (16 km) long and 8 mi (13 km) wide in the U.S. state of New York between the two flukelike peninsulas at the eastern end of Long Island. It is bounded on its eastern end, where it connects to Block Island Sound, by Gardiners Island and Promised Land. Adjoining harbors include Three Mile Harbor, Clearwater beach, Acabonack Harbor, and Lazy Point's Napeague harbor.
