Itchen Valley

Itchen Valley is a civil parish in the English county of Hampshire. Forming part of the City of Winchester district, it comprises the villages of Avington, Easton, Itchen Abbas and Martyr Worthy, with a population of 1,267 at the time of the 2001 Census. It is to the northeast of Winchester and takes its name from the River Itchen. The parish is crossed by the M3 motorway, and contains Winchester services.

River Arle

The River Arle is a river in the English county of Hampshire. It is a tributary of the River Itchen, which it joins just downstream of the town of New Alresford. Previously the Itchen itself was referred to as the River Arle. The river is a classic English chalk stream with shallow gravel bottom and fast flowing waters fed year round by chalk springs.

A34 road

The A34 is a major road in England. It runs from the A33 and M3 at Winchester in Hampshire, to the A6 & A6042 in Salford. It forms a large part of the major trunk route from Southampton, via Oxford, to Birmingham, The Potteries and Manchester. For most of its length (together with the A5011 and parts of the A50, and A49), it forms part of the former Winchester-Preston Trunk Road.
