Cranshaws is a village on the B6355 road, near Duns, in the Scottish Borders area of Scotland, in the former Berwickshire. Of Cranshaws Castle only the tower remains, at Cranshaws Farm on Cranshaws Hill. Whiteadder Reservoir
Whiteadder Reservoir is a reservoir in East Lothian, Scotland, UK, in the Lammermuir Hills, 11 miles north west of Duns in the Scottish Borders, and five miles (8 km) south east of Garvald. The reservoir was established in the late 1960s. The flooding ceremony was in May 1968. Millknown Farm and Kingside School were flooded.

Dye Water
The Dye Water is a river in the Lammermuir Hills in the Scottish Borders area of Scotland. It rises in the Hope Hills, continues along the East Lothian boundary, a mile north east of Seenes Law, then east to Longformacus. The Dye Water joins the Whiteadder Water and completes its 12.5 mile journey. The Sir Walter Scott Way and the Southern Upland Way long distance footpaths also pass through Longformacus.

Gamelshiel Castle
Gamelshiel Castle is a ruined castle in the Lammermuir Hills, East Lothian, Scotland. It is located at grid reference NT649648, half a mile north-east of the northern end of Whiteadder Reservoir, near to the B6355 road and Whiteadder Water. The castle sits on the south side of the Hall Burn. It is a Scheduled Ancient Monument (No. 5606), and it consists of the remains of a simple tower house from the 14th century. Recent studies indicate that there is evidence of a vaulted cellar.
